ICE2020 postponed to 13-16 April 2021
It is with great regret that the Local Organising Committee for the ICE2020 Conference have to inform you that due to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus COVID-19 around the globe and the growing number of travel restrictions being imposed by international authorities and universities, ICE2020 will need to be postponed.
We are currently looking at postponing until 13-16 April 2021 to allow us to monitor the situation and to make sure that it is safe for all of our delegates to attend the conference and to present their work.
As I am sure you are aware, we have already paid numerous deposits and are grateful to the various venues that are allowing us to postpone the event.
All monies paid to date will be held towards your registration for the 2021 conference. If you have already submitted an abstract and received approval it will still be included in the 2021 programme. If you wanted to submit a full paper but have not yet done so, we are re-opening submissions and you will also now be able to do this.
We will also be opening abstract submissions again and hope that you will encourage more of your colleagues to submit to present at this conference. We know that this situation is not ideal, but we want our delegates to be safe and have therefore taken this decision. We are however looking forward to having more delegates participate at the ICE2021 Conference and look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town!
Thank you for understanding.
Kind regards
Prof. Brendon Knott
